Tata Motors is gearing up to launch its much-awaited Tata Harrier EV in this financial year. The company plans to unveil this electric SUV at the India Mobility Global Auto Expo, commencing on January 17. According to recent reports, the Harrier EV will feature a massive 75kWh battery pack capable of delivering a range of over 500 kilometers. Once launched, this will be the sixth electric model in Tata’s EV portfolio, which already includes the Curve EV, Nexon EV, Punch EV, Tiago EV, and Tigor EV.
Advanced All-Wheel Drive System
The Tata Harrier EV is expected to come equipped with two electric motors and an advanced all-wheel drive (AWD) system. The high-spec variant with the 75kWh battery will deliver an impressive 500 kilometers on a single charge. Meanwhile, the lower and mid-spec variants might feature a 60kWh battery pack, offering a range of 400-450 kilometers. The SUV is also expected to support DC fast charging, allowing for quicker recharge times.

Cutting-Edge Features Inspired by the ICE Variant
On the exterior, the Tata Harrier EV will sport a closed-off front grille, redesigned headlamps with LED DRLs, and unique aero-styled alloy wheels. The rear of the SUV will showcase new LED taillamps and a refreshed bumper design. The vehicle will also feature 19-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels and traditional door handles. Inside, the EV is expected to share similarities with the ICE version of the Harrier, offering a premium cabin experience. Many features from the diesel-powered Harrier may also find their way into the EV variant.
Top-Notch Safety and Modern Technology
Tata Motors is likely to incorporate advanced safety features in the Harrier EV, aiming for a 5-star safety rating in crash tests. Features such as Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) functionalities, seen in other Tata EVs, are expected to be part of the offering. Additionally, the Harrier EV might come with adjustable damper controls and advanced terrain response modes, making it versatile for different driving conditions. The starting ex-showroom price is anticipated to be around ₹20 lakh.
