Bookings to Start on January 3, Deliveries from February 2025

This is Kia’s fifth SUV for the Indian market, positioned between the Kia Seltos and Kia Sonet. Designed with more premium customers in mind, the Kia Syros is being referred to as a mini-Carnival.

It will be available in six variants: HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+, and HTX+ (O). While prices are yet to be announced, the expected starting price is ₹9 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings will commence on January 3, 2025, with deliveries beginning in February 2025.

The Syros faces no direct competition but will act as an affordable alternative to compact SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Kia Seltos. Additionally, it will compete with subcompact SUVs such as Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, and Hyundai Venue.

Exterior Highlights: First Kia ICE Car with Flush-Type Door Handles

The Kia Syros follows the brand’s global design language, drawing inspiration from the Kia Carnival, Kia EV3, and Kia EV9. It is the first internal combustion engine (ICE) car in Kia’s Indian lineup to feature flush-type door handles.

The exterior sports a traditional boxy SUV design with vertically stacked LED headlamps on the bumper edges. It features three LED projector units and a unique drop-down LED DRL similar to the new Carnival. The sealed upper fascia gives it an EV-like appearance, with air intakes integrated into the lower section.

The side profile includes black-colored A, C, and D pillars, contrasting with body-colored B pillars to create a sleek window line. 16-inch alloy wheels are standard in lower variants, while 17-inch three-petal alloy wheels are available in higher trims.

At the rear, the SUV features L-shaped taillights surrounding the flat rear windscreen, paired with a two-tone black and silver bumper finish, giving it a mini-van aesthetic.
